Huan Hou Temple: A Historical Landmark in Zigong, Sichuan

Huan Hou Temple, originally constructed during the Qing Qianlong period, was unfortunately destroyed at the end of the Xianfeng era and later restored during the Tongzhi period. The temple is built facing the street and is situated on the edge of a small hill’s road embankment, requiring visitors to ascend the slope and look up in reverence. The temple’s main gate features an engraved image of Zhang Fei, with his fierce expression and heroic demeanor, which commands respect and admiration.
